How to Salsa with Zumba

Salsa music is a diverse and predominantly Spanish Caribbean genre that is popular across Latin America and among Latinos abroad that gained popularity in the 1970s. It is influenced by various dances such as Cha Cha and Mambo. It incorporates multiple styles and variations. This form can be either done with a partner or as a solo act. It uses instruments like the conga (a tall drum), the guiro (which makes a scraping sound), and lots of cowbell.

Salsa consists of small, quick steps and the constant shifting of weights from one foot to the other. The upper body movements are restricted to arms and shoulders. It can also be mixed with other dance forms.
