Aerobics or Zumba, what works best for you? Well, both Zumba and Aerobics are popular choices among people who wish to stay fit or lose weight. But there are people who struggle to choose between the two high intensity workout patterns.
Here’s what you should know in order to make your choice.
Aerobics not only involves rhythmic movements, but also typical strength exercises focussed on muscle strengthening and those that aim to stretch and relax the body muscles. Zumba is a form of aerobic training that combines aerobics with Latin moves. It helps us burn calories and strengthen the heart and is held at a variable rate.
Zumba and Aerobics also differ in terms of choreography. In aerobics, it’s usually a few sequence of steps to follow on repeat. You will notice movements like jumping jacks, skipping, or v step sequences. These movements are learned and used over and over. While you have to learn the choreography of steps in Aerobics, you do not necessarily learn the steps in Zumba. You simply follow the instructor and follow the steps as they change, with each changing song.
You will find the atmosphere in an aerobics class to be happy and light-hearted. On the other hand, you will find people cheering and motivating each other in a Zumba class. If you have had a bad day, a Zumba class could surely make your day better.
